3 Ways to Get ServSafe Certified
It is highly recommended to study before the ServSafe exam, especially one you need to pass in order to become certified. There are a few options when it comes to getting started on your ServSafe certification. Check out these three study options to set yourself up for success the first time around.
1. Take a Class: For the Traditional Student
Brush up on your knowledge and skills with a 1-day or 2-day ServSafe in-person class. Each class begins with an education section, taught by an instructor, in person, followed by the exam, which you will have two hours to complete. These classes cost $155 and the cost includes the ServSafe Managers Certification Book and the exam fee, in addition to the instructional period. Class days typically last about eight hours. We offer classes around the state each month.
2. Study Online: For the E-Learner
ServSafe offers the option to take the course online at your own leisure. You can purchase the online course access code for $165. This covers both your access code and the exam fee. The code will be sent to you via email and is good for one year, however once you use the access code, you will have 90 days to log in and out as you please. The course will take about 8 hours total to complete, but can work through it at your own speed throughout the 90 day period. Once you feel prepared and are ready to take the exam, contact us to schedule your exam with a proctor.

3. Self-Study: For the Independant Student
If you prefer to study on your own, you can purchase the ServSafe Mangers Certification Book and work through it at your own pace. You can purchase the book for $65, however you will have to purchase the exam separately when you are ready to test. Take as long as you’d like to move through each section of the Manager’s Certification Book and master each concept. When you feel ready to test your knowledge, contact us to schedule your proctored exam.
