October 16th –20th will be unforgettable. We have one week full of events packed with a career fair, professional development events and our second annual Spirit of Hospitality Summit. The breakout sessions this year follow our themes of Innovation in entertainment, Luxury Market, Creating Unique Experiences, Innovations in Marketing, Purdue Leaders Transforming the World, Sustainability, Technology Transformation and Wellbeing. There are so many opportunities to get involved.
There are several ways you are your company can get involved:
1 – Attend the event– it is open to anyone. Topics represent all 4 of our majors and the speakers are all first-class leaders in the industry! We also have 4 fantastic keynote speakers! Why not use it at a development opportunity for your team? (Tickets are $100)
2 – Attend the networking event on Thursday – (Includes a free ticket to the conference both Thursday and Friday) – mingle with students, faculty, students, alumni and the many industry folks coming to campus! See what is new in the industry and enjoy complimentary food and a cash bar.
3 – Host a booth or cocktail table at the networking event - (a great way to showcase your company to all attendees and associate yourself with Purdue!) We have a limited number of booths and cocktail tables available, and they are filling up fast!
4 – Attend our celebration of hospitality event on the Friday event – we will be transforming Marriott Hall! Expect a 45-piece band, upscale food, wine, dancing and lots of surprises! Tickets are only $150.
5 – Sponsor the conference – we have three sponsorship opportunities (see website for details). Depending on the level you will get a booth at the conference, tickets to our party on the Friday night and a student’s scholarship in your name!
The agenda of events are as follows:
Monday October 16th – A company sponsored Experience Innovation Hackathon where our students are working in teams to address an industry problem. If your company wants to know more on how to get involved, please contact Maggy Leitch mleitch@purdue.edu.
Tuesday October 17th – A professional development day where our students are working with our industry partners to develop their professional skills.
Wednesday October 18th – Our annual career fair and interview day. If you are interested in having a booth at our career fair, please register here.
Thursday October 19th – The first day of our hospitality summit that will have over 50 industry speakers and an evening networking event.
Friday October 20th – The second day of our hospitality summit that will have over 50 industry speakers and an event hospitality celebration party.
