Welcome New Team Members of
the Indiana Restaurant & Lodging Association!

 

Cole Macer, Membership Coordinator

Cole joins the Indiana Restaurant & Lodging Association as the membership coordinator.

His job description includes recruiting new members and retaining current, showcasing membership benefits to hospitality partners statewide and connecting members with industry colleagues to grow and boost their business.

With a strong background in hospitality, Macer previously worked for Shulte-Group Indianapolis as a guest services and marketing manager at the Northwest Indianapolis Hilton Garden Inn. Prior to joining the team, he worked as an account executive intern for Eat Here Indy – a digital channel dedicated to Indianapolis food & dining.

 

As an Indianapolis native, Macer will graduate from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) with a bachelor’s degree in spring 2018.

Kyle Brucker, Director of Education

Kyle joins the Indiana Restaurant and Lodging Association team serving as the director of education.

 

She has extensive background in public relations and strategic communications from previous roles. Prior to joining the team, Kyle worked in Chicago for Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty. With the group, she works with our association clients in handling all education

Kyle works in various roles from dealing with a day-to-day workload to proctoring ServSafe Food Handling Certification courses. She is solely responsible for keeping the office in order and fully functioning.

Kyle is a graduate from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.

Chef LizGiménez, Spanish ServSafe Instructor

Chef Liz Giménez is a native of Venezuela. She moved to the U.S. to pursue a college degree in business administration. While attending college, she became the assistant to the Pastry Chef in the collegediningfacility. She was responsible for producing desserts and pastries for 3,500 students, teachers, and staff. She graduated with a degree in Business Administration-Management and moved to Indianapolis.

After moving to Indiana, Liz’s love for cooking motivated her to pursue a career in the culinary field. She attended the culinary job training program at Second Helpings, and went on to advance her culinary education at Ivy Tech Community College. During that time she worked as the executive chef for a Hunger Relief program at a nonprofit organization in Indianapolis.

She currently teaches classes at Ivy Tech in the hospitality administration department. Liz became a certified ServSafe instructor and exam proctor in January of 2005, and since then she has been teaching ServSafe classes in English and in Spanish. In 2015 Chef Liz became a nationally recognized Certified Chef de Cuisine. Register here for her Spanish classes here.
